Our firm is active in representing a number of clients in areas where pollution is at issue.
As members of the Environmental Rights Study Group (Kankyo-ken Kenkyu-kai) of the Osaka Bar Association, two of our founding members have been working on the theoretical advancement and social establishment of "environmental rights" in Japan. One was the lead lawyer for the relief of victims of aircraft noise in the Osaka Airport noise pollution lawsuit, with other members of our firm on the same legal team. These same members have also been in charge of a lawsuit started by citizens seeking the conservation of Izumi City' s Shinoda Forest, Hijiri Shrine and Kagami Pond, and one of our members provides ongoing explanatory notes on judicial precedents in "Hanrei Kogai Ho" (Pollution Case Law).
