I was born to Chinese parents in my hometown of Kobe, where I received nine years of Chinese language education at a local Chinese school. As a result, I have a background that encompasses both Japanese and Chinese languages and cultures.
I pride myself on having developed a solid foundation as a lawyer through a wide range of cases, from corporate legal affairs such as M&A to general civil and criminal cases. To systematically study Chinese law and expand my network in China, I studied abroad at Renmin University of China Law School. During my study abroad, I interned at Chinese law firms in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, where I worked alongside Chinese lawyers and learned about Chinese legal practices as well as the needs of Japanese and Chinese companies.
At the same time, through these experiences, I strongly realized that the business activities of Japanese and Chinese companies are not confined to Japan and China alone but need to be understood from a global perspective, including Southeast Asia. Therefore, from July 2024, to further strengthen our firm's philosophy of meeting a wide range of client needs, I will begin practical training at law firms in Singapore and other Southeast Asian regions.
Upon my return, I plan to collaborate with law firms and accounting firms in various cities in China and the ASEAN area to focus on business expansion, international transactions, M&A and investment, dispute resolution, and protection of intellectual property rights locally. In order to provide these legal services, I will make a great effort to diligently enhance my skills and expand my network.
